  2. I hate testosterone. It makes hair grow on my face and me look like a
    hipster. *Very* annoying.

  3. Also, I think it’s worth noting in a future video how important the RIGHT
    fats are (eg those found in avocados) to a healthy endocrine system. There
    are studies correlating increased healthy fat consumption with a boost in
    T. I am shocked that he left this out.

    1. +Candy Cane I just feel like when you say “fats are bad”, you really should
      include the opposite side of things.
      But yeah I guess you’re right

    2. I do agree that you can benefit from natural fatty foods, such as avocado
      and nuts, but I don’t think the fat ITSELF is good for you. E.g. omega 3
      and 6 (fatty acids) are great, but the rest of it, not so much. Maybe i’m
      wrong though?

    3. +Candy Cane fat is good for you in the right amounts. it can definitely be
      over done and that’s certainly not healthy.

    4. I haven’t done enough research to give you a good answer, but I can say
      that there is lots to be found.
      On a side note — It is absurd that the doctor said you can’t increase
      testosterone by working out. With just my simple knowledge I know that
      exercise can be undoubtedly effective in reduce the stress hormone
      cortisol. And reducing this stress hormone is a requirement for
      testosterone to flourish. They have a counter balance relationship with
      each other.

    and not rocking back and forth in a chair. lol

    1. Even when he’s not on a treadmill, in his mind he’s on a treadmill, so when
      speaking he moves in a similar way.

    My husband is a omni and I think his bodybuilding is something holding him
    back from making the jump to veganism. I’ll be showing him this video

      employ Dr Greger to make an episode on actual dietary hacks to boost T
      levels, or free the blood bound one. Need more beard, to get laid more, to
      make more gains, to get more… – vicious cycle. And Btw, thanks, I
      appreciate your work a lot.

  10. Emily, can you please please do a video on whether smartphones/computers
    are vegan? I’ve heard arguments saying how minerals used in them are
    sourced from animals.

    1. Veganism is a lifestyle wich seeks to exclude all if practical or
      reasonable possible all forms of use of animals for food, clothing,
      entertainment or any other purpose. We live in a world were animal products
      are widely used. Were waste products from the meat industries used as cheap
      fillers seems to finds it’s way in all kinds of products imaginable. By
      veganism we can do a good job to eliminate as much as practical possible to
      not support the animal industry in any way. Wich will decrease the demand
      for animal products= less supply for obscure animal ingredients used in car
      tires, electronics etc.= Making them more expensive and therefor companies
      will eventually switch to other cheaper animal free alternatives.

    2. Yeah although I agree with the fact that animal by-products from the meat
      industry is not the main issue behind veganism, I personally don’t know
      if/how minerals are sourced from animals as I couldn’t find any reliable
      info. For all I know it could be BS or they might be killing animals for
      the sole purpose of extracting what they need. And if so, whether there are
      more ethical methods to source them or alternative that could be used etc.

  11. My thoughts are that the primary reason that “competitive bodybuilder in
    the weeks leading up to a competition” have such low testoerone levels is
    100% related to their unhealthy low bodyfat levels and the severe calorie
    restriction. And the studies he cites to carbohydrate manipulation isn’t on
    competitive bodybuilders in the weeks leading up to a competition.
    Obviously I’m a fan of whole carbohydrate based diets from fruits, root
    vegetables, and whole grains, but that was not an apples to apples
    comparison on the topic.
